Welcome to SoundSide Montessori Academy
Our Story
We believe academic success is important, and so is emotional and social growth. Joy is effortless to find here. We want to establish a tradition of providing children with an individual, developmentally appropriate education program within a full Montessori curriculum and philosophy.
The nautilus shell of our logo expresses the transformation within the child during the learning process of the Montessori Spiral Curriculum. The child is always the focus of everything we do. SoundSide Montessori Academy is, honestly, the children’s house. We follow the child because we see the adult who is not yet there.
SoundSide Montessori Academy was founded in 2024 from a desire to implement an authentic Montessori program within our community and create a beautiful and safe environment for adults and children to develop and thrive. The idea was to create a peaceful environment that focused on the beloved method Dr. Montessori created, where a community could come together to empower and celebrate each other.
With that in mind, our name was born: SoundSide Montessori Academy! It is a familiar place to share joy, happiness, challenges, triumphs, and peace.

Mission Statement
The mission of SoundSide Montessori Academy is to provide an authentic Montessori program within our community in a nurturing, stimulating, and well-prepared environment that develops each child’s intellectual and emotional gifts, ushering responsible, compassionate citizens.
Vision Statement
SoundSide Montessori Academy's vision is to implement Dr. Montessori’s educational method and pedagogy model to teach children, nurturing them and their families on their learning journey. Children will graduate from SMA with a strong sense of confidence, respect for others, and a love of learning that will carry through the rest of their lives.
